Instant Sim Funded Accounts
5 articlesNo, there are no contract scaling requirements for the Instant Sim Funded Program. The maximum allowed contracts for each account size are fixed and do not increase over time. Traders should choose their account size carefully based on their trading needs and goals.
At Top One Futures, we prioritize disciplined and sustainable trading practices. One of our key risk management guidelines is the Consistency Rule, set at 20%. This FAQ will help clarify what this rule means and how it impacts your trading performance.
What is the Consistency Rule?
The Consistency Rule requires that no single trading day accounts for more than 20% of your total profits. After a payout is taken on an Instant Sim Funded account, your total profits reset, and the consistency rule begins again based on new profits moving forward. This ensures that traders demonstrate steady performance rather than relying on one or two highly volatile trading sessions.
Please Note: For the purposes of consistency rule calculation, a trading day ends at 5:00pm EST.
How is the 20% Consistency Rule Calculated?
The rule is based on your total profits over the entire period of having your account. No single day’s profit should exceed 20% of the total profits made.
For example:
If your total profit is $10,000, then no single trading day should account for more than $2,000 (20% of $10,000).
If one of your trading days results in a $3,000 profit while your total profits are $10,000, you wouldn’t meet the consistency rule, and would not be eligible for a payout.
Let’s say you’re trading a $100K account and earn the following profits:
| Trading Day | Profit |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | $1,800 |
| Day 2 | $2,000 |
| Day 3 | $1,900 |
| Day 4 | $2,000 |
| Day 5 | $2,300 |
Total Profit = $10,000
Highest Day = $2,300
Now calculate your consistency score:
$2,300 ÷ $10,000 × 100 = 23%
❌ In this case, your highest day makes up exactly 23% of your total profit, which does not meet the consistency rule.
If, on your next trading day, you profit $1,500. Now your total profits are $11,500.
Total Profit = $11,500
Highest Day = $2,300
Now calculate your consistency score:
$2,300 ÷ $11,500 × 100 = 20%
✅ In this case, your highest day makes up exactly 20% of your total profit, making you eligible for a payout.
How Can I Ensure Compliance with the Consistency Rule?
Plan your trades carefully to avoid making excessive profits in a single day.
Spread your gains evenly over multiple trading days.
Avoid trading with high-risk or taking highly volatile trades that can lead to outsized profits.
Monitor your progress regularly to ensure no single trading day surpasses the 20% threshold.
1. The Profit Target (Dynamic)
You must reach a specific profit target to be eligible for each payout. This target is dynamic, meaning it changes for your first three payouts to encourage consistent growth.
- First Payout:
- You must make 6% of your initial account balance.
- Second Payout:
- You must make 5%on top of your new balance (after the first payout is deducted).
- Third Payout (and all future payouts):
- You must make 4%on top of your new balance (after the previous payout is deducted).
For Your First Payout:
Target: 6% of $50,000 = $3,000
You must grow your account balance to $53,000.
For Your Second Payout:
You reach $53,000 and request a $1,500 payout. Your account balance is now $51,500 ($53,000 - $1,500).
Target: 5% of $51,500 = $2,575
You must grow your new balance to $54,075 ($51,500 + $2,575).
For Your Third Payout:
You request another $1,000 payout. Your account balance is now $53,075 ($54,075 - $1,000).
Target: 4% of $53,075 = $2,123
You must grow your new balance to $55,198 ($53,075 + $2,123).
2. 20% Consistency Rule
This is a key performance metric. It ensures that your profits are earned steadily, rather than from a single "lucky" day.
The Rule: Your single best trading day's profit cannot account for more than 20% of your total accumulated profit at the time of your payout request.
The Formula: (Best Day's Profit / Total Profit) * 100 = Your Consistency Score
You reach a total profit of $3,000.
Your single best day was $500.
Calculation: ($500 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 16.7%
Result: You PASS (16.7% is less than 20%).
You reach a total profit of $3,000
Your single best day was $1,500.
Calculation: ($1,500 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 50%
Result: You FAIL (50% is greater than 20%).
"I failed... how do I fix my score?"
If your score is too high, you must "fix" your score by accumulating more profits. You need to make that best day equal 20% of a new, larger total profit.
Using Example 2:
Your best day is $1,500.
To find the profit target you need: $1,500 ÷ 0.20 = $7,500
You must grow your total profit to $7,500 (without having another day better than $1,500) to meet the 20% rule.
3. Maximum Payout Amount
To ensure consistent growth and risk management, there is a maximum amount you can withdraw per payout request. This limit is based on your account size.

$25,000 Account – Max $1,500 per withdrawal
$50,000 Account – Max $2,500 per withdrawal

If your profit exceeds this amount, you can simply request the maximum, and the remaining profit will stay in your account to be withdrawn in a future payout request or as buffer.
Top One Futures’ Instant Sim Funded Program is designed for traders who want to skip the evaluation phase and start trading immediately with a funded simulation account. This program offers fast access to capital, along with structured risk management rules to promote long-term consistency and success. Here’s a complete breakdown of how it works:
📌 Which rules apply to your account?
Purchased before July 27, 2026? Your account falls under our original parameters. Look for the (purchased before 7/27/2026) sections below.
Purchased on or after July 27, 2026? Your account falls under the updated Instant Sim Funded 2.0 rules. Look for the (purchased on and after 7/27/2026) sections below.
1. No Evaluation, Instant Access
The Instant Sim Funded Program gives traders immediate access to a sim-funded account, no need to pass an Evaluation first. You choose your account size and can begin trading right away under real market conditions with built-in risk parameters.
2. Drawdown Rules:
Max Trailing Drawdown
It trails your highest closed balance but never moves down.
If your balance falls below the trailing drawdown level, the account is breached and closed.
Instant Sim Funded (purchased before 7/27/2026): Starting Max Drawdown by Account Size:
$25,000 → $1,000
$50,000 → $2,000
$100,000 → $3,000
$150,000 → $4,500
Instant Sim Funded 2.0 purchased on and after 7/27/2026): Starting Max Drawdown by Account Size:

$50,000 → $2,000
$100,000 → $4,000
$150,000 → $5,250
3. Drawdown Lock
Once your profits reach the drawdown amount plus $100, your trailing drawdown locks at $100 above your starting balance and no longer follows account growth. This provides more stability and reduces the risk of losing access to the account as you scale.
$50K account → Lock occurs at $52,100; drawdown locks at $50,100.
$100K account → Lock occurs at $104,100; drawdown locks at $100,100.
This lock also activates after your first payout.
4. Daily Loss Limit (DLL)
The Daily Loss Limit is set between 2.0% – 2.5% of your initial account balance for legacy accounts. This drawdown parameter helps manage risk and promotes responsible trading habits. Exceeding this limit will result in an account breach.
Here is the Daily Loss Limit breakdown by account size:
| Account Size | Daily Loss Limit (DLL) |
|---|---|
| $25,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $625 |
| $50,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $1,250 |
| $100,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $2,500 |
| $150,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $3,750 |
| Account Size | Daily Loss Limit (DLL) |

| $100,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $2,500 |
| $150,000 Instant Sim Funded Account | $3,000 |
5. Consistency Rule: To be eligible for a payout, your consistency score must be 20% or lower
To qualify for payouts, your trading must reflect steady, disciplined performance. No single day’s profit may exceed 20% of your total profits.
After a payout is taken from an Instant Sim Funded account, the consistency score is reset, and the consistency rule is then applied to new profits moving forward. This ensures that traders demonstrate steady performance rather than relying on one or two highly volatile trading sessions.
All the information regarding the consistency rule on Instant Sim Funded Accounts can be found here.
Example: If your total profit is $10,000, no single trading day should exceed $2,000 in profit.
This rule encourages balanced trading instead of relying on a single high-risk session.
Please Note: For the purposes of consistency rule calculation, a trading day ends at 5:00pm EST.
6. No Contract Scaling Requirements
There are no scaling rules in the Instant Sim Funded Program. You are allowed to use the full contract limit for your account size from day one. Choose an account size that fits your trading style and strategy.
