Final Thoughts
The $149 activation fee is a simple, one-time step to transition from an evaluation trader to a sim funded trader. It ensures a smooth onboarding process, allowing you to start trading your sim funded account and work toward your financial goals with Top One Futures.
No, there are no contract scaling requirements for either the Elite Evaluation or the Elite Sim Funded Programs. The maximum allowed contracts for each account size are fixed and do not increase over time. Traders should choose their account size carefully based on their trading needs and goals.
At Top One Futures, we prioritize disciplined and sustainable trading practices. One of our key risk management guidelines is the Consistency Rule, set at 25% on Elite Sim Funded accounts (20% for Instant Sim Funded Accounts) that have been upgraded from Evaluation accounts.
Note: There is no consistency rule in the Elite Evaluation phase.
What is the Consistency Rule?
To become eligible for a payout, the Consistency Rule requires that no single trading day's profit accounts for more than 25% of your total profits. After a payout is taken on an Instant Sim Funded account, your total profits reset, and the consistency rule begins again based on new profits moving forward. This ensures that traders demonstrate steady performance rather than relying on one or two highly volatile trading sessions.
Please Note: For the purposes of consistency rule calculation, a trading day ends at 5:00pm EST.
How is the 25% Consistency Rule Calculated?
The rule is based on your total profits over the entire period of having your account. No single day’s profit should exceed 25% of the total profits. The consistency rule is calculated from the first day of trading until you receive a payout. After each payout, the consistency rule resets and you will need to maintain the same consistency % to qualify for the next payout.
For example:
If your total profit is $10,000, then no single trading day should account for more than $2,500 (25% of $10,000).
If one of your trading days results in a $3,000 profit while your total profits are $10,000, you wouldn’t meet the consistency rule, and would not be eligible for a payout. Once your total profits reach $12,000, you would then meet the consistency rule. (25% of $12,000 = $3,000)
Let’s say you’re trading a $100K account and earn the following profits:
| Trading Day | Profit |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | $2,200 |
| Day 2 | $1,800 |
| Day 3 | $2,500 |
| Day 4 | $2,000 |
| Day 5 | $1,500 |
Total Profit = $10,000
Highest Day = $2,500
Now calculate your consistency score:
$2,500 ÷ $10,000 × 100 = 25%
✅ In this case, your highest day accounts for 25% of your total profit — which meets the rule. This means you would qualify for a payout.
How Can I Ensure Compliance with the Consistency Rule?
Plan your trades carefully to avoid making excessive profits in a single day.
Spread your gains evenly over multiple trading days.
Avoid trading with high-risk or taking highly volatile trades that can lead to outsized profits.
Monitor your progress regularly to ensure no single trading day surpasses the 25% threshold.
1. The Profit Target
You must reach a specific profit target to be eligible for each payout. This target is dynamic, meaning it changes for your first three payouts to encourage consistent growth.
- First Payout:
- You must make 6% of your initial account balance.
- Second Payout:
- You must make 5%on top of your new balance (after the first payout is deducted).
- Third Payout (and all future payouts):
- You must make 4%on top of your new balance (after the previous payout is deducted).
1. For Your First Payout:
Target: 6% of $50,000 = $3,000
You must grow your account balance to $53,000.
2. For Your Second Payout:
Let's say you request a $1,500 payout. Your account balance is now $51,500 ($53,000 - $1,500).1.
Target: 5% of $51,500 = $2,575
You must grow your new balance to $54,075 ($51,500 + $2,575).
3. For Your Third Payout:
You request another $1,000 payout. Your account balance is now $53,075 ($54,075 - $1,000).
Target: 4% of $53,075 = $2,123
You must grow your new balance to $55,198 ($53,075 + $2,123).
2. 25% Consistency Rule
This is a key performance metric. It ensures that your profits are earned steadily, rather than from a single "lucky" day.
The Rule: Your single best trading day's profit cannot account for more than 25% of your total accumulated profit at the time of your payout request.
The Formula: (Best Day's Profit / Total Profit) * 100 = Your Consistency Score
You reach a total profit of $3,000.
Your single best day was $600.
Calculation: ($600 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 20%
Result: You PASS (20% is less than 25%).
You reach a total profit of $3,000.
Your single best day was $1,000.
Calculation: ($1,000 ÷ $3,000) * 100 = 33.3%
Result: You FAIL (33.3% is greater than 25%).
"I failed... how do I fix my score?"
If your best day is too high, you must "fix" your score by accumulating more profits. You need to make that best day equal 25% of a new, larger total profit.
Using Example 2:
Your best day is $1,000.
To find the profit target you need: $1,000 ÷ 0.25 = $4,000
You must grow your total profit to $4,000 (without having another day better than $1,000) to meet the 25% rule.
4. Maximum Payout Amount
To ensure consistent growth and risk management, there is a maximum amount you can withdraw per payout request. This limit is based on your account size.
- $25,000 Account:
- Max $1,500 per withdrawal
- $50,000 Account:
- Max $2,500 per withdrawal
- $100,000 Account:
- Max $3,000 per withdrawal
- $150,000 Account:
- Max $3,500 per withdrawal
If your profit exceeds this amount, you can simply request the maximum, and the remaining profit will stay in your account to be withdrawn in a future payout request.

What Does No Consistency Rule Mean?
Our Evaluation Accounts have no consistency rule—meaning you are not required to distribute your profits across multiple trading days or sessions to qualify for funding.
Unlike some firms that demand steady daily profits or limit how much you can make in a single day, we allow traders to pass the Evaluation as soon as they reach the 6% profit target, regardless of how those profits are achieved.
How Does This Benefit Traders?
No Minimum Trading Days: Pass the Evaluation at your own pace—whether in a few days or over a longer period.
No Profit Distribution Requirements: You can make the bulk of your gains in one strong trading session without penalty.
More Flexibility in Trading Strategies: Whether you are scalping or intraday trading, you won’t be restricted by a consistency rule for your Evaluation.
Let’s say you have a $100,000 Evaluation account with a 6% profit target ($6,000).
You could make $6,000 in a single trading day and pass immediately.
Or, you could earn $3,000 in two days, $2,000 over three days, or any other variation—the timeline and profit distribution don’t matter.
As long as you reach the 6% target while following risk rules, you qualify for an elite sim funded account.
Final Thoughts
With no consistency rule in our Evaluation accounts, traders have full control over how they reach their profit target. Whether you achieve it in one big trade or over several sessions, it’s entirely up to you. Trade freely, trade smart, and get sim funded on your terms.
Overview of the Elite Evaluation at Top One Futures
At Top One Futures, we offer a dynamic and flexible approach for traders to prove their skills and qualify for a Sim Funded Account through our Elite Evaluation. This Evaluation is designed for traders who demonstrate strong risk management and the ability to meet profit targets, all while ensuring fair and transparent rules for evaluation. Here’s a breakdown of the key elements:
1. Profit Target
Traders in the Elite Evaluation must reach a 6% profit target to qualify for a Sim Funded Account. This target is based on the initial account balance.
$25,000 account → $1,500 profit target
$50,000 account → $3,000 profit target
$100,000 account → $6,000 profit target
$150,000 account → $9,000 profit target
Unlike other firms, we have no consistency rule during the Evaluation phase, meaning traders can reach their profit target in any number of days or with varying profit distribution. Whether you hit the target in one big move or over several sessions, as long as you stay within the risk parameters, you qualify for the next phase.
2. Risk Management: Drawdown Rules
At Top One Futures, risk management is key, and our Daily Drawdown and Max Trailing Drawdown are in place to protect traders:
Daily Drawdown: Set at 2.5% of the account balance, based on the end-of-day balance. If this is breached, trading will pause for the day, but you can resume the following day.
Max Trailing Drawdown: The starting Max Trailing Drawdown is set as follows:
$25,000 account → $1,000
$50,000 account → $2,000
$100,000 account → $3,000
$150,000 account → $4,500
This trailing drawdown adjusts dynamically based on your highest closed balance at the end of the day. For example, if you reach a balance of $51,000 on a $50,000 account, the trailing drawdown moves to $49,000. If the balance drops below this level, the account is breached.
Once you reach the drawdown limit plus $100, it stays locked at your starting balance + $100, ensuring it no longer trails with your account growth.
3. Activation Fee
After successfully completing the Elite Evaluation, there is a one-time activation fee of $149 to activate your Sim Funded Account. This fee applies to all account sizes and covers the transition from Evaluation to live trading.
4. No Contract Scaling Requirements
There are no contract scaling requirements for Elite Accounts. The maximum number of contracts allowed for each account size is fixed and does not change as you progress through the Evaluation. This provides flexibility and allows traders to choose the account size best suited to their trading goals.
5. Consistency Rule for Sim Funded Accounts
While there is no consistency rule during the Elite Evaluation phase, once you transition to an Elite Sim Funded Account, a 25% consistency rule applies. This rule ensures that no single trading day’s profit exceeds 25% of your total profits, promoting steady and sustainable performance.
After a payout is taken from an Elite Sim Funded account, the consistency score is reset, and the consistency rule is then applied to new profits moving forward. This ensures that traders demonstrate steady performance rather than relying on one or two highly volatile trading sessions.
6. Evaluation Account Reset
If your account is breached, you can reset your Evaluation account at a reduced fee rather than purchasing a new evaluation:
$25,000 Evaluation Account → $29
$50,000 Evaluation Account → $39
$100,000 Evaluation Account → $79
$150,000 Evaluation Account → $119
This reset restores your account to its starting balance and gives you a fresh start, allowing you to continue your evaluation without starting from scratch.
7. One-Day Pass
At Top One Futures, we offer the flexibility to pass the Elite Evaluation in just one trading day. If you hit the 6% profit target on the first day and follow the rules, you can immediately qualify for a Sim Funded Account. This offers a fast, flexible path to funding without unnecessary delays.
What Is the Minimum Trading Day Requirement?
At Top One Futures, we keep things simple, you can pass your Evaluation in as little as one trading day. Unlike other firms that require traders to spread their profits over multiple days, we allow you to qualify as soon as you hit the 6% profit target while staying within the risk parameters.
Additionally, while the minimum requirement is just one trading day, there is no maximum limit—traders can take as much time as they need to hit the profit target, provided they follow the rules.
How Does This Work?
There is no waiting period—as soon as you meet the profit target, you can move to a sim funded account.
Whether you hit your goal in one day or take your time, the choice is yours.
You only need one profitable trading session to pass, provided you follow the rules.
There's no deadline pressure, you set the pace and take your time to hit your target.
Let’s say you start with a $50,000 Evaluation account, and your profit target is 6% ($3,000).
If you make $3,000 in one trading session while following the rules, you qualify immediately.
If you prefer a slower approach, you can take multiple days, it’s up to you.
There’s no time pressure for a slower approach; we offer full flexibility for traders to choose their preferred pace.
After successfully passing the Elite Evaluation, traders have the flexibility to choose when to activate their Sim Funded Account. This ensures that traders can start trading only when they feel ready, with no time constraints imposed.
Final Thoughts
With a one-day minimum trading requirement, Top One Futures gives traders a fast, flexible, and fair way to qualify for funding. Hit your target, follow the rules, and get sim funded, no delays, no unnecessary restrictions.
Furthermore, Top One Futures provides traders with unmatched flexibility, not only can you pass the Evaluationin one day, but you also have no deadlines for completing or activating your account. This ensures a trading experience tailored to your schedule.
At Top One Futures, effective risk management is the foundation of our trading programs. Our drawdown rules ensure a fair and transparent trading environment while protecting traders from excessive losses. This article explains how the Daily Drawdown and Max Trailing Drawdown operate.
Note: The drawdown rules are the same for both Elite Evaluation Accounts and Elite Sim Funded Accounts.
Max Trailing Drawdown: Based on Highest Closed Balance at EOD.
The Max Trailing Drawdown ensures you maintain a sustainable trading approach while scaling your account. Here are the details:
Definition:
The Max Trailing Drawdown is set as follows:
$1,000 on a $25,000 account ($24,000)
$2,000 on a $50,000 account ($48,000)
$3,000 on a $100,000 account ($97,000)
$4,500 on a $150,000 account ($145,500)
It adjusts dynamically based on the highest closed balance at the end of the day achieved during your trading.
How It Works:
The drawdown level moves upward as you lock in higher profits at the end of each day.
If your account balance decreases, the drawdown level remains fixed and does not move downward.
Breach Condition:
If your account balance falls below the trailing drawdown level, your account is considered breached, and trading will stop. If you are trading an Elite Sim Funded Account, your account will be closed. If you are trading an Elite Evaluation account, your account will be paused until your anniversary billing date, or you may purchase a reset prior to your anniversary date and begin trading immediately.
$25,000 Account:
Trailing Drawdown = $1,000.
If the highest closed balance is $26,000, the trailing drawdown moves to $25,000.
If the balance drops below $25,000, the account is breached.$50,000 Account:
Trailing Drawdown = $2,000.
If the highest closed balance is $51,000, the trailing drawdown moves to $49,000.
If the balance drops below $49,000, the account is breached.⚠️ Important Note on Intraday Breaches:
While the Max Trailing Drawdown is calculated based on your end-of-day balance, you cannot drop below the drawdown threshold at any time intraday. For example, on a $50,000 account with a $2,000 Max Trailing Drawdown, if your balance falls below $48,000 — even for a moment — this will trigger a breach. Recovering above the threshold later in the session does not reverse the breach. Always ensure your balance stays above the active drawdown level throughout the trading day.
| Account Size | Drawdown Amount | Balance to Lock Drawdown | Drawdown Locks At |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25k | $1,000 | $26,100 | $25,100 |
| $50k | $2,000 | $52,100 | $50,100 |
| $100k | $3,000 | $103,100 | $100,100 |
| $150k | $4,500 | $154,600 | $150,100 |
